It's my birthday today!!

I wanted to show you guys all the animation projects i did over this past semester. I think i already wrote a journal about one of them but there are 2 more! I dont know how to upload videos to DA that aren't Flash files, so if any of you know how or where to submit .mp4/.mov files, it would be appreciated.

First project: PB&J Time

"Cut out" assignmant. My first animation and in Photoshop's Animation bar. I did the rest of the videos in Photoshop too.

2nd project: Car Chase

Rotoscoping; Original video of myself and footage from Dukes of Hazard.
Music: Knight Rider remix by Chemical Brothers
(This one is much better if you loop it!)

3rd Project: Spaghetti

Line Animation, hand drawn in photoshop.
Music: Liquid Spear Waltz by Michael Andrews

I hope you enjoy! Show your friends and leave a comment!

Thanks,
Stefan Petit

About 6 months ago I finished my Bioshock 1 Project , remastering the in-game posters into print quality; and now, just in time for the holidays, I've finally finished remastering the posters from Bioshock 2. Here's my DA gallery of the project Bioshock 2 Project ,
or my BehanceNet gallery [link] .

This was a completely personal project that let me practice different styles, techniques, and designs. So please no comments on how I "stole them from Bioshock", how they aren't my work, or any other negative comments. I recreated all of these in poster sized print quality formats for the bioshock community and myself. Many people had a issue understanding this concept from the first time i did this. I am NOT passing these off as my own and i am not taking conceptual ownership. If you still think I have done something wrong then you can still appreciate the time and effort I put into making these. These are solely just for the community and personal pleasure.

And I know many of you will want the high rez files, but ever since the first project, I've been trying yo get in contact with 2k/Irrational games to maybe do something with them. Obviously I cant sell them, and youre saying "give them for free", and I would love to, but again I dont know if that crosses any copyright laws. especially with the font; so many fonts were used, that some were not free and are solely restricted to personal use, so them being used in a mass produced image maybe cross that red tape, so right now you cant download the poster size files, but hopefully I can get to the bottom of this soon. Im sorry, I am just paranoid and want to avoid being sued in any way possible. If anyone knows details about these issues feel free to let me know, or if you know anyone at 2k, dont hesitate to send them a link and spread these out on the interwebs!

All were done in Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS5. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message and favorite some of them.

Thanks for the support.

This past November i let Synthetic Dream Studios use some of the Bioshock posters i did for their Trail of Terror, which is said to be one of the largest non-profit haunted house attractions on the east coast. A small section of the trail was dedicated to recreating the Bioshock atmosphere and i was happy to help; unfortunately there aren't any actors in the shots and these images wont be up on their site for quite some time, but thankfully they are letting me post them here!

hey guys,

i just set up a Society6 account where ill be selling some of my art as prints, shirts, ipod cases, laptop skins, you name it. i may put up some of my older works up for sale but it takes some time to set the files up correctly, i already have 4 new pieces up.
> Society6

i also got a twitter (finally gave in) where ill be posting my new works instantly so itd be great if you wanted to follow me and get all the tweets when i put out new work on DeviantArt and Society6
> Twitter

im also working on remastering the posters from bioshock 2 like i did the first game [link] . so dont be surprised if your DA inbox blows up in a couple months.

thanks,
Stefan Petit
if you havnt already seen it, im happy to say that my bioshock project [link] was featured on Geekologie.com, which is one of my favorite sites. if you dont know about geekologie you should really consider looking through the archives of posts, they're really funny. heres the article im featured in [link] .thanks for all your support.

Edit: 7/13 - I was also just recently featured on Kotaku, which is similar to Geekologie. [link]

About 6 months ago I recreated one of the in-game paintings for Bioshock 2,  Bioshock Injection , which made me really want to do some of the in-game posters from the first game. 6 months later I’ve finally finished 43 of them. Here’s my DA gallery of the project [link] ,
or my BehanceNet gallery [link] .

This was a completely personal project that let me practice different styles, techniques, and designs. So please no comments on how I “stole these from Bioshock”, how they aren’t my work, or any other negative comments. I recreated all of these in poster sized print quality formats for the bioshock community and myself. However, I don’t think I can sell the prints because of Bioshock/2kgames’ copyright over the franchise. And all of the fonts I used were completely free but some also do not allow commercial use. So, sorry, but I don’t want to be sued ☺.

All were done in Photoshop and Illustrator CS4. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message and favorite some of them. And depending on the response I get from these, I may do some more posters from Bioshock 2.

Thanks for the support.

EDIT june 9:
-So i just found out that if i wanted to sell prints of these, i wouldnt even be able to sell them here on DA because apparently all forms of Fan Art are prohibited from being sold due to copyright laws in the DA print store :/

-Also the project is now featured in one of Geekologie's articles [link]
